It's OK to say and have what you want.

I've been reading a lot about the Law of Attraction lately. "You get what you put your energy and focus on, whether wanted or unwanted". The more I read about it and consider the power of positive thoughts, intentions and actions, the more I realize that my life can be exactly what I want it to be...nothing less. I also now believe that my life will be exactly what I draw into it...nothing more.

I'm fortunate to have a loving family and to be financially secure and to have no worries. Still, I haven't yet achieved my life dream, but am getting glimpses that the life I want to live is not too far away.

I started this blog to allow myself to share my dreams with the universe, and to document my journey towards living my dreams, which I believe is possible through the power of the Law of Attraction. Some people say that the law usurps God, but I believe that hopes and dreams are gifts from God...jewels that he gives us to guide us on the life path he has for us. I have a strong desire to be a well-known, well-paid writer. I believe God has given me that desire because that is his wish for me too.

You are welcome to follow me on this journey and witness the power of God and of positive thoughts, intentions and actions. I'll share my dreams and set goals and document how the Law of Attraction draws my desires to me. I'll affect this by following these steps copied from the Law of Attraction wikipedia page:

  • Desire. Get a strong enthusiasm for that which you want in your life, a real longing for something which is not there now.
  • Decision. Know definitely what it is that you want, what it is that you want to do or have, and be willing to pay in spiritual values.
  • Ask. [When sure and enthusiastic] ask for it in simple, concise language. . . .
  • Believe. Believe in the accomplishment with strong faith, consciously and subconsciously.
  • Work. Work at it. . . a few minutes daily, seeing yourself in the finished picture. Never outline details, but rather see yourself enjoying the particular thing . . .
  • Feel gratitude. Always remember to say, "Thank you, God," and begin to feel the gratitude in your heart. The most powerful prayer we can ever make is those three words, provided we really feel it.
  • Feel expectancy. Train yourself to live in a state of happy expectancy. . . . Act it until it becomes part of you, as it must and will.
I will draw the following things into my life in the next year:

  1. A paid writing assignment on a high traffic website
  2. A feature (profile or writing) in Essence and Oprah magazine
  3. A book deal from a major publisher worth at least $500,000
  4. A local female friend who I'm at peace with being around and bringing into my life
  5. An invitation to appear on Oprah to talk about my book
  6. A New York Times Best Seller

Ambitious for one year? Of course. Why not? More has happened for countless other people who we've all heard about in this age of America's Next Top Model and American Idol. Why not me? You should ask yourself...why not you?
